Lausanne, Switzerland, June 26, 2019: Singaporean Angelita Teo has been appointed as Director of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne by the International Olympic Committee.
Teo will not only manage the Olympic Museum, but she will also lead the Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage from October 1, 2019, and oversee the Olympic Studies Centre, international programmes and heritage.
A Senior Director, Museums and Festivals with the National Heritage Board of Singapore since 2002, Teo will succeed Francis Gabet. She will be based in Lausanne and report to the IOC Director General.
“I wish a warm welcome and every success to Ms. Angelita Teo. Her operational and strategic competences in the areas of culture and heritage will be valuable to enable the Foundation to pursue its development and address its future challenges,” said IOC Director General Christophe De Kepper.
The Olympic Museum was inaugurated in 1993 and is the embodiment of the universal values of sport: culture, sharing and education.
